Lucas Fontoura Goulart is Operational Technology and Innovation manager at Cedro Têxtil, a Brazilian textile company with more than 150 years of industrial history. He leads strategic initiatives connecting automation, asset reliability, industrial systems, applied innovation and project governance to support safer, smarter, and more competitive operations.

He is a Senior Member of the International Society of Automation (ISA) and founding president of the ISA Minas Gerais Section, where he works to strengthen the automation community by connecting industry, academia, innovation ecosystems, professionals, and global technical knowledge.

Lucas holds a degree in Control and Automation Engineering and a specialization in Maintenance Engineering from PUC Minas. He also completed a specialization in Advanced Manufacturing and holds a master’s degree in Aeronautical Computing from the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (ITA), where his research focused on Explainable Artificial Intelligence applied to industrial contexts.

He serves on the Technology and Innovation Council of the Federation of Industries of the State of Minas Gerais (FIEMG). He believes automation is not only about technology, but also about people, knowledge and the ability to transform industrial experience into sustainable operational impact.
