EDMONTON, AB - June 4, 2007 - MatrikonOPC released the MatrikonOPC™ Server for Motorola MOSCAD. This MatrikonOPC Server provides real-time data access to the Motorola family of MOSCAD Remote Terminal Units (RTUs). The OPC server connects through Motorola's MCP-T SCADA gateway to provide true OPC connectivity to a range of solutions, including small remote telemetry applications, large scale SCADA systems in industries such as rail infrastructure, oil and gas, mining and power and water utilities.Unlike other OPC Servers for Motorola MOSCAD, the MatrikonOPC Server for Motorola MOSCAD does not limit the number of RTUs that a user can be connected to at any one time. This innovative feature gives users the freedom to create large solutions without worrying about extra overhead costs.
Other features unique to Matrikon’s product include support for device timestamps and built-in support for redundancy.
