ISA Automation Week in Orlando, FL
Our hats go off to the ISA for putting on such a world-class event! The last two days have been filled with fun—the week started as CEO and Founder, Paul Galeski, was honored with the Excellence in Leadership Award at the Honors & Awards Gala on Monday evening. This award honors an individual who has made significant contributions to advance the automation profession. Galeski is a licensed professional engineer and a Certified Automation Professional® (CAP®) and is recognized for creating a paradigm shift in systems integration and for advancing automation through technical and strategic business solutions. Galeski also received the ISA’s highest recognition, Honorary Membership.
Yesterday was busy for MAVERICK. After the keynote address by Greg Hale, Galeski announced MAVERICK’s long term strategic partnership with the ISA. "We have invested in this relationship because of our love for the automation discipline and a belief that, working with the ISA, we can help create change in manufacturing," said Galeski. Later in the day, the Director of DCS Next, Matt Sigmon delivered a presentation on “Upgrading DCS with no BS” in Theatre 1. If you caught his presentation, you learned the most common issues encountered by engineers during migration projects and how to overcome these issues using real-world examples. We hope you did not miss the session on “Establishing an Effective Plant Cybersecurity Program,” given by our own Peter Esperrago, Senior Consultant with MAVERICK Technologies. Esperrago’s session focused on learning more about how to establish or improve your overall plant cybersecurity program.
Booth #1067 has been bustling this week—be sure to stop by and talk with MAVERICK Technologies team members. It has been exciting talking with engineers across a variety of industries. Stop by to see how MAVERICK, a global leader in industrial automation, enterprise integration and strategic manufacturing solutions, can help you! Yesterday afternoon, we hosted NASCAR race driver, Jennifer Jo Cobb, in our booth—hopefully you managed to stop by and grab an autograph.
