June 19, 2007 - Schaumburg, IL - Misumi USA, Inc. announces the introduction of many new styles of shaft supports, to complement its broad line of existing products and to work in conjunction with its popular shafting. All the following are new products or expanded lines and offer the machine builder an extensive assortment of mounting and support options from which to choose:
Flange mounted supports
featuring an inlay or dowel hole, useful when easy and accurate duplication of position is required. Standard Flange mounted supports accommodate 3-50mm shaft diameters, while Inlay Flange mounted supports accommodate 8-30mm shaft diameters and Dowel Hole Flange mounted supports accommodate 12-30mm shaft diameters.
Flange mounted with slit clamp
supports allow the tightening force, after fitting the shaft, to be increased by surface pressure. The shaft is less likely to be damaged, since the fitted shaft is pressed evenly by the surface of the support. Flange mounted with slit clamp supports and Flange mounted with inlay slit clamp supports accommodate 8-30mm shaft diameters while Dowel Hole Flange mounted with slit clamp supports accommodate 12-30mm shaft diameters.
Shaft supports with a built-in damper
also reduce shaft damage. Accommodate 12-30mm shaft diameters.
Hinged clamp style supports
allow easy maintenance and faster replacement. These supports are sold with a lock washer for secure attachment and accommodate 10-30mm shaft diameters.
Chamfered head design supports
allow installation in tight areas and are available in T-shape, L-shape, bottom and side mounting varieties. The T-shape, L-shape and side mount supports accommodate 8-30mm shaft diameters while the bottom mount supports accommodate 12-30mm shaft diameters. Misumi shaft supports are offered in various grades of steel, stainless and aluminum, with black oxide or EN coating, as applicable. Most styles typically ship in six days, with an express option for faster delivery on many items. Popular configurations are available on many of these new Misumi shaft supports, including set screw, slit, two piece construction, with key release groove, two surface flats for applications involving potential interference zones and a D-cut style.
