Novotechnik's new MZ1 Multi-Turn Rotary Angle Sensor is now available with a straightforward analog output option, offering mechanical engineers direct voltage outputs extending close to the power supply rails. By providing defined analog signals instead of complex digital communications, this plug-and-play option eliminates the programming, interface, and protocol setup demands that frequently extend system development timelines.
This compact sensor counts turns from 0 to 44 and measures angles up to 15,840°. Utilizing advanced battery-free, non-contact technology, the MZ1 features true power-on capability. It retains its absolute position and turn count even when power is cycled. Boasting excellent linearity and repeatability, its robust, compact 22 mm housing design for space-constrained applications is optimized for demanding OEM steering, heavy-duty valve control, off-highway vehicle, and advanced robotic applications.

The new analog option offers voltage outputs of 0.25 to 4.75 V DC or 0.5 to 4.5 V DC, proportional to the power supply voltage, for integration with industrial control systems and PLCs.
The MZ1 is part of Novotechnik's broader multi-turn rotary position sensor portfolio, including the MC1, MB1, RSM, and compact 22 mm-diameter MZ1-2200. Novotechnik brings decades of position-sensing experience to automotive, off-highway, machine engineering, and industrial automation applications.
