September 13, 2017 – Murray State University of Murray, Kentucky has been chosen the Grand Prize winner in the Fluke Pressure Calibration Tool Grant Program. The school will receive three Fluke 729 Automatic Pressure Calibrators, worth $24,000, for use in its industrial instrumentation laboratories.

The Fluke Pressure Calibration Tool Grant Program gives educators an opportunity to win new Fluke pressure calibration tools for their labs by giving Fluke’s product design team input on the specific challenges facing technicians working in the process industries.

“The entry from Murray State University really stood out amongst our panel of judges — specifically, their knowledge and experience in process control environments and their plans to incorporate the new pressure calibrators immediately into their curriculum,” said Jim Shields, Fluke Product Marketing Manager. “They explained in detail how advances in portability, wireless connectivity, and integrated pressure generation would vastly improve the calibration process, reducing waste and ultimately saving companies money. We look forward to receiving future reports on how the 729 Automatic Pressure Calibrator is impacting the program at Murray State.”

The Fluke 729 is designed to simplify the calibration process by automatically generating test pressures, improving calibration integrity by compensating for leaks, and automatically documenting the pressure calibration process to help meet compliance and regulatory requirements.

“The Institute of Engineering at Murray State University is very excited and appreciative to be the grand prize winners of the Fluke 729 Pressure Calibrators,” said Murray State University’s Jake Hildebrant.. “As the program coordinator of the Electromechanical Engineering Technology program, I understand how important it is to train our students with the best tools possible to prepare them for their careers. Fluke is the industry standard and we are so grateful to have the opportunity to include the 729 Pressure Calibrators in our industrial instrumentation laboratories.”
