NEMA announces four new members to board of governors

The four new board members are Annette Kay Clayton, CEO North America Operations for Schneider Electric; Lee Cooper, CEO of GE Healthcare U.S. & Canada; Jack Nehling, president of Phoenix Contact USA; and Rich Stinson, CEO of Southwire Company.

July 19, 2016—In a July 14 meeting, the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) Board of Governors elected four new members to the board, including Annette Kay Clayton, chief executive officer & president of North America Operations and chief supply chain officer for Schneider Electric, Schneider Electric North America; Lee Cooper, president and CEO of GE Healthcare U.S. & Canada; Jack Nehling, president of Phoenix Contact USA; and Rich Stinson, president and CEO of Southwire Company.

Ms. Clayton has 30 years of experience in the automotive, technology, and energy sectors, the last five of which have been at Schneider Electric, where she became president and CEO in June 2016. Prior to joining Schneider in May 2011, she worked as the vice president of global operations and supply chain at Dell Inc.; vice president of quality, North America, at General Motors; and president at Saturn Corporation. Ms.

Clayton has also served on the board of directors for Polaris Industries since 2003.

Mr. Cooper is president and CEO of GE Healthcare’s $8 billion U.S. and Canada region and a GE Corporate Officer. Previously, he was the vice president of global sales and marketing for GE Energy Management and held additional commercially focused roles and served as the chief commercial officer at GE Corporate.

Prior to that, he was the chief marketing & commercial officer for GE Capital Americas.

Before Mr. Nehling was namedpresident of Phoenix Contact USA in November 2001, Nehlig spent 19 years at Honeywell in various sales, marketing, and executive positions, including vice president and general manager of the sensing and controls division. He has served on the board of directors of the Measurement, Control & Automation Association (MCAA) and is currently on the board of governors of the Electrical Manufacturer’s Club.

Mr. Stinson joined Southwire in October 2015, following more than 30 years of experience in the electric industry. He started his career in Westinghouse’s Manufacturing Development Program for projects in Puerto Rico, where he served in multiple disciplines before joining Eaton Corporation. At Eaton, Stinson served in a variety of roles, including plant manager, operations director and general manager of various facilities in the United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Japan. As a vice president, he managed Eaton’s power distribution assembly, industrial controls, electrical assembly and power distribution divisions.
