Feb. 5, 2004 -- National Instruments today distributed the second of two company performance bonus payments totaling $4.4 million for 2003 to its employees worldwide. NI distributed the first installment of the company performance bonus in the fourth quarter of 2003.
"With record revenue of $426 million, 9 percent growth and 9.5 percent operating profit, 2003 was a solid year for NI. This is a true testament to our employees and their spirit," said Dr. James Truchard, NI president and CEO. "Their hard work and commitment to delivering exceptional performance despite a challenging economic climate positions NI well for the future.
We are pleased to reward their efforts." Annually, all full-time and permanent part-time employees receive a percentage of their earned salaries as an incremental company performance bonus, which is based on the company’s revenue growth and operating profit. In 2003, the bonus percentage amounted to 2.95 percent of their salary.
