April 18, 2018 – Seeq partner Nukon Pty Ltd has been invited to attend PI World on April 23-27 in San Francisco to present their advanced analytics solution built on Seeq. This project was for TasWater, Tasmania’s water utility responsible for delivery and management of water resources in Australia’s island state.

As OSIsoft’s premier User Conference, PI World attracts more than 1,000 attendees from around the globe to learn from industry leaders like Nukon. Along with other presenters, Nukon is developing solutions to solve complex problems faced by customers, in this case TasWater in Midway Point, Tasmania, Australia.

Andrew May, Senior Consultant at Nukon, will co-present with Matt Jordan, Manager of Network Asset Performance at TasWater, on the topic of smart sewer analytics. A key challenge for this industry is managing sewer blockages occurring in the mains system to prevent spills. Often the first notification of a spill comes from a member of the public, hours and sometimes days after the incident. This can intensify public health and environmental impacts, while driving up the cost of clean-up efforts.

“The solution has already demonstrated value in detecting abnormal operating conditions in the sewerage network trial area, beyond the capability of previous methods,” notes Jordan.

The session will be Wednesday morning, April 25th, from 10:45 to 11:30 at Hilton Union Square, Water / Energy / Facilities track.
