July 6, 2018 – Highly regulated manufacturing operations must control access to devices, applications and physical spaces to ensure data integrity, compliance and security without compromising productivity. Nymi is bringing a new authentication solution designed for these operations with the Nymi Enterprise Edition. Nymi Enterprise Edition authentication is a solution consisting of a multi-factor biometrically authenticated wearable (the Nymi Band) and a complete enterprise system for administration, management and integration into existing identity ecosystems. It provides an enterprise-grade authentication solution that addresses data integrity and compliance concerns.
Unlike security measures that rely on passwords, PINs or tokens – all of which can be lost, shared or stolen – the Nymi Band features both fingerprint and ECG sensors to ensure the user authenticating is indeed the correct person. The on-body detection adds another layer of assurance for accomplishing non-repudiation of actions in highly regulated manufacturing processes.
Nymi Enterprise Edition integrates with existing Identity Access Management (IAM) solutions and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to accomplish digital signatures and store electronic batch records. With non-repudiation mechanisms, Nymi Enterprise Edition enables users to reduce deviations related to 21 CFR Part 11.
Nymi has partnered with leading life sciences providers, including Werum and Evidian. This partnership is helping provide integration with Werum’s PAS-X MES and Evidian’s E-SSO Single-Sign On solution.
