October 1, 2009 - Used for quick reversing industrial applications, the Ogura reversing drive is a cost effective way to achieve fast opposite rotation for many applications. The drive consists of two electromagnetic clutches and a series of gears, which allow the input to operate at a continuous RPM and allows the output to either have a forward, neutral or reverse rotation. Unlike a motor that would have to be decelerated and then reversed the clutches response rate is extremely fast, controllability is also very easy with a simple 24 volt supply switched to either clutch. Assembly comes contained in a die cast housing, which prevents the chance of contamination. Ball bearing supports for the shaft clutch rotors and gears give the unit extremely long life.
