Okuma opens Technical Centers in Houston and Chicago

Grand opening ceremonies will feature machining and productivity seminars. Both centers will have Okuma CNC lathes and machining centers on display.

October 1, 2009 - Okuma America will open the Okuma Technical Center in Houston, Texas November 10-12, 2009, and the Chicago center on October 27 and 28, 2009.Opening day ceremonies will include machining and productivity seminars, covering topics such as Set-up Reduction, Automation, Universal Machining and Lean Manufacturing. Live-cutting demonstrations, exhibits from multiple tooling and accessories builders, and food and refreshments will be available throughout each three-day event. The Chicago event will feature an appearance by Richard Childress, one of RCR’s lead drivers and show cars. Richard Childress Racing uses Okuma CNC machine tools to make precision parts for its cars.
