The hands-on courses through December 2012 present real world automation challenges to prepare students to design, use and troubleshoot systems efficiently.

October 17, 2012 - Omron Automation and Safety announces its PLC programming training course schedule for late fall 2012 that enables attendees to complete basic and intermediate levels in one week. Courses are held at Omron’s North American headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois, near Chicago O’Hare airport and Woodfield Shopping Mall.

“Mindful of tight travel budgets and the difficulty getting away from daily job responsibilities, Omron implemented a proficiency approach that allows attendees to complete PLC programming basics and intermediate courses in five business days,” says Peter McEneaney, Training and Technical Support Manager at Omron Automation and Safety. “The advanced level course, offered separately, allows students to apply their training before moving on to programming with function blocks and structured text.”

The intensive hands-on courses present real world automation challenges typically encountered in plant operations to prepare students to design, use and troubleshoot the systems efficiently. Students use Omron’s breakthrough, fully integrated CX-One automation software that programs PLCs, develops HMI projects, sets up networking, simulates system interactions, and configures motion controllers, drives and temperature controllers.
