May 29, 2019 - OPC Servers and other connectivity solutions are critical to implementing digital solutions such as SCADA, MES, or Industrial IoT within industrial environments. Many of these solutions require local access for configuration, requiring administrators to provide otherwise unnecessary access to machines on the operations network for controls or SCADA engineers, as well as repetitive, manual configuration steps. Configuration APIs enable both remote and bulk configuration, and can be used to implement a ‘least privilege’ permissions set. Advanced users can create custom configuration clients.
