Parvalux relocated of EMD Drive Systems’ manufacturing and administrative operations from Halstead to the company’s main site at Wallisdown in Bournemouth.

March 16, 2009 - Parvalux relocated EMD Drive Systems’ manufacturing and administrative operations from Halstead to the company’s main site at Wallisdown in Bournemouth; trading from the Halstead site officially ceased on the 13th March 2009.All EMD systems, processes and production lines are now back up and running, and EMD staff are experiencing business as usual in their new surroundings. With sufficient space at Parvalux’s main site on the south coast, co-location was considered the logical option after a number of factors necessitated a strategic review of the business: the opportunity to combine a number of key administrative functions and leverage efficiencies; the expiry of the Halstead site lease in 2010; and the onset of unpredictable trading conditions following the collapse of the global banking industry in September 2008.To coincide with the move Parvalux have made a number of internal leadership appointments to enable the business to begin sharing best-practice and identify cost-saving and process synergies where possible.

Simon Rainger HNC, Operations Director Qualified with an HNC in Mechanical and Production Engineering and 13 years management experience; takes responsibility for the quality, manufacture and delivery of both Parvalux and EMD product-lines. Paul Adams MSc, Technical Director With an MSc in New Product Development; leads a new team of highly experienced design professionals in delivering modified product and bespoke product application solutions to customers. Keith Gillibrand MBA, Supply Chain Director An FCCA qualified accountant with an MBA from Oxford and 30 years experience working for world class manufacturing organisations; is now responsible for all contract negotiations for raw materials, factored parts and services for the group.

Nick Spetch, Sales Director With extensive industry experience in engineering management and sales; now takes responsibility for both EMD and Parvalux sales, customer service, marketing and e-commerce activities.
