January 13, 2009 - PAS released PlantState Suite (PSS) 6.2. PSS is a component of the comprehensive suite offered by PAS to ensure safe running operations, maximize operator effectiveness, and eliminate plant vulnerabilities. PSS version 6.2 features an essential enhancement to its existing Alarm Analysis module enabling an enterprise view of alarm information, through which personnel are now able to access alarm and event data from multiple data sources in a single location.
PSS 6.2 also allows the combination of data from disparate control systems. Additionally, the new release features a new KPI Grid Viewer and enhancements to the existing Alarm Shelving module. The KPI Grid Viewer provides the capability to display historical Key Performance Indicator (KPI) values in a color-coded grid format. This new feature is also easily configurable to meet specific needs for content and time periods, such as monthly averages for several KPI's over the past year.
Alarm Shelving enhancements include the ability to shelve alarms through the end of a shift, shelving based on user role, and a new predefined pick list for documenting shelving decisions.
