August 12, 2013 - Patlite’ updated EHV/EHS Series MP3 Annunciator and Melody/Alarm Horns. The EHV/EHS is 30% more compact than previous models, yet improves sound quality and volume (up to 105dB at 1m for the EHV and up to 110dB at 1m for the EHS). The EHV/EHS features a synthesized function producing a louder sound typically needed for in-factory assembly line environments. Designed to withstand up to 9Gs of force, the EHV/EHS field horn is also ideal for vibration prone applications such as forklifts and AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles). EHV/EHS also improves efficiency with several low power consumption configurations available: 12-24 VDC (4W), 12-48 VDC (6W) for on-board vehicle applications, and 100-240 VAC (6W).

The EHV provides four distinctive playback modes: normal, memory, latest input priority, and momentary. These playback mode audio messages are defined by the user’s prescribed input signaling to the unit. The EHV is equipped with 8 bit/63 binary input playback channels; the EHS melody/alarm horn is equipped with 8 bit/32 binary input playback channels. Wiring to the unit is offered in either pre-wired cable/connector or convenient terminal connection.

The RoHS compliant EHS/EHV offers IP65 protection and a UL1638 rating for outdoor use. 24 VDC models conform to CE requirements. The EHS/EHV operating temperature range is -20° to 50°C (-4° to 122°F) with 85% relative humidity.
