August 26, 2014 – Pfannenberg releases PYRA-M flashing strobe light series. With an attractive, yet functional pyramid design and choice of 5 or 10 joule flash energy, the output light intensity of the PYRA-M xenon strobe covers more distance than others in its class. Initially developed to support the requirements of European Standard EN54-23 – which addresses the need for effective signaling for the hearing impaired, those wearing hearing protection, and environments with high ambient noise conditions – the PYRA-M delivers the necessary visual range for effective signaling even when installed at tall ceiling heights. The PYRA-M offers several additional benefits, which make it an attractive choice as an industrial signaling appliance.
A wide temperature range and IP 66 protection permits outdoor use in any climate or in wash-down situations. The rugged ABS/polycarbonate enclosure is flame-retardant and resilient against UV sunlight. The vandal-resistive polycarbonate lens is impact rated to IK 08. Installation is simplified with a flanged, surface-mount base and redundant terminal strip for daisy-chained electrical connections. A variety of colors, choice of flash rates, automatic flash synchronization for multiple units, and an optional integral 100 dB multi-tone sounder round out the performance features.
