As President and CEO, Banda will oversee all activities and operations of PHD, Inc. leading the global organization by leveraging his 30 years of experience in the industrial automation industry. Banda has a background in technology leadership, business management, finance, operations, strategic development, and market strategy.

June 5, 2020 – PHD, Inc., a manufacturer in industrial automation, announced the appointment of Aurelio Banda as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2020.

As President and CEO, Banda will oversee all activities and operations of PHD, Inc. leading the global organization by leveraging his 30 years of experience in the industrial automation industry. Banda has a background in technology leadership, business management, finance, operations, strategic development, and market strategy. PHD’s Board of Directors, is confident and excited with Banda’s gifted leadership and technical expertise as the company is at the forefront of the rapidly advancing automation industry poised for accelerated growth. Most recently, as President and CEO, Banda led Beckhoff Automation in North America, known for its automation systems and PC-based control technology.

Prior to joining Beckhoff, Banda founded Controls Plus, Inc., a distribution and software development company in the industrial automation sector, leading the company for 14 years.

Born in 1957 with the development of a pneumatic cylinder, PHD has grown to become a fourth generation, family-owned, multinational corporation, with product offering serving diverse markets and industries.

PHD offers a diverse spectrum of standard and custom built-to-need pneumatic and electric actuators, OEM drop-in components, specialty workholding clamps, and motion control robots. The Fort Wayne headquarters and nearby Huntington, Indiana facilities include manufacturing and assembly centers, administrative offices, engineering, sales and marketing as well as customer technical education and support teams. The Fort Wayne location is also the home of YRG, PHD’s master distributorship of Yamaha brand robotics for North America. PHD’s subsidiary in Germany is dedicated to serving the European market, with additional PHD presence in China, India and most recently Canada.

PHD furthers its international reach as part of the Mac Distributor Network (MDN), providing customer-driven solutions and support in all corners of the world.
