December 2, 2010 — Shenzhen POWTRAN Technology announces the PI8600 variable frequency drive. The 220-240Vac drive provides power up to 1 hp (0.75kW) at an output frequency of 0-800Hz, making it suitable for use with fans and pumps, Injection molding machines, and equipment in paper, cement and other manufacturing plants.The PI8600 has a central control module based on a DSP that integrates V/F and V/F + PG control, has a dead compensate function, automatic slip compensation, and provides up to seven-step speed control and eight steps of acceleration control. A PID algorithm provides closed loop control and regulates dc braking.
The PI8600 also provides temperature control, fan control, starting and restarting functions after a power loss, protection functions. Programming is via a plug-in keyboard or from the front panel keys. Outputs include RS485 communications and six programmable relay outputs Price is $75.
