A new, universal digital panel meter that handles all process and temperature inputs, features Modbus® RTU protocol, and sunlight readable LEDs is being introduced by Precision Digital Corporation of Natick, Massachusetts. The Trident Digital Panel Meter is packaged in a shallow-depth case with a Type 4X, NEMA 4X, IP65 front that fits into tight spaces and is easy to install. Calibrated to accept process voltage and current inputs, 100 ohm RTDs, and the four most common thermocouples, it has a universal power supply which accepts 85 to 265 VAC or 90 to 260 VDC (24 VDC optional) and is fully programmable at the front panel or remotely by computer.

The meter is equipped with serial communications capability using PDC Serial Communication Protocol or optional Modbus® RTU protocol.Providing simple, push-button setup and programming without jumpers, the Trident Digital Panel Meter has a 0.56” adjustable intensity red 4-digit LED display that provides excellent viewing even in bright sunlight. Removable screw terminal blocks are a standard feature that simplifies field wiring. A time-saving copy feature lets one meter’s setup be copied to another meter.

Options include Modbus RTU for serial communication, two relays to permit pump alternation, an isolated, linearized 4-20 mA output, and NEMA 4X enclosures. The Trident meter is UL & C-UL Listed and CE Marked.Trident Digital Panel Meters are priced from $199 to $399, depending upon options and include a 3 yr warranty.
