Process industry veteran Walter Steward passes away at 80

A 35-year veteran of the industrial process instrumentation and controls market, Walter joined YCA while the company was still in NYC in the late 70s. He was part of the small team that coordinated the move and building of the Newnan, GA USA headquarters and manufacturing facility.

June 27, 2019 – It was announced that process industry veteran Walter Steward, formerly of Yokogawa Corp of America, has passed away. He was 80 years old.

A 35-year veteran of the industrial process instrumentation and controls market, Walter joined YCA while the company was still in NYC in the late 70s. He was part of the small team that coordinated the move and building of the Newnan, GA USA headquarters and manufacturing facility.

During the 80s and 90s he was responsible for rapid growth and enhanced manufacturing in the USA supported by many Yokogawa product introductions.

Walter loved golf and his first home in GA was on the Newnan Country Club. Walter and his late wife Dottie had 2 children and several grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are being made for early next week in Newnan, GA.
