Process Sensors Corporation releases Metis Model M323 temperature sensor
Designed primarily for measurements on metals and bright, shiny materials, ceramics and graphite, the Metis M323 provides measuring accuracy for low temperature measurement, regardless of target emissivity.

September 18, 2017 – Process Sensors Corporation introduced the latest addition to its selection of non-contact infrared temperature sensors, the Metis Model M323.

Designed primarily for measurements on metals and bright, shiny materials, ceramics and graphite, the Metis M323 provides measuring accuracy for low temperature measurement, regardless of target emissivity. With temperature ranges from 50° to 1500°C (122° to 2732°F) and adjustable sub-ranges, it is ideal for applications in induction heating, composites, soldering, vacuum furnaces, ceramics and of course, research and development.

The short wave length M323 boasts two 16 bit analog 0/4 to 20mA outputs, offers a ten digit LED display for temperature and sensor parameters, and performs in harsh environmental conditions at ambient temperatures up to 70°C without cooling. Its three versatile configurable inputs or outputs and switchable serial interfaces (RS-232 and RS-485) can all be selected on the device as required by the user.

The M323 offers a choice of four selectable, focusable optics with adjustable measuring distances and a display of temperature and parameter settings. Parameter configuration can be made via the sensor’s rear panel, with the supplied, SensorTools software or with the user’s self-compiled communication program.

The integrated peak picker offers the operator the option of an automatic hold mode or manual time settings to clear/reset data, or the ability to clear readings externally by external input.
