ProSoft Technology offers a variety of communication solutions for both field- and plant-level industrial automation applications. Among the more than 400 protocols supported by ProSoft Technology is the widely accepted PROFIBUS DP, a standard among field-level factory and process automation applications. ProSoft Technology has worked to meet the needs of PROFIBUS users for network solutions that encourage open interoperable communication with otherwise incompatible equipment. Among these are the PROFIBUS DP Master or Slave modules for the Rockwell Automation ControlLogix, SCANport, and FLEX I/O platforms, and for the Schneider Electric Quantum/Unity processor. These in-rack modules allow the respective networks the freedom to use PROFIBUS devices for their applications.

The ProLinx line of stand-alone gateways include over 25 solutions for PROFIBUS DP networks by creating an interface between the protocol and other dissimilar networks including DF1, ASCII, DNP, EtherNet/IP, Modbus, HART Multi-drop, Honeywell DE, and the ProSoft Wireless Protocol (PWP) which enables PROFIBUS DP networks to transfer data wirelessly.Because of its interfacing capabilities ranging from the sensor level to the enterprise level, PROFIBUS DP has been incorporated into more than 14 million installed devices worldwide.
