June 17, 2012 - Movicon added functionality to notify significant alarms or events to recipients. These recipients can be predefined in the projects user groups while in design mode or inserted during runtime through an incorporated user management interface. Frequently companies find they need to manage on-call duty schedules to assign users specific shifts or work periods according to different productivity loads and various other needs. This kind of management can now be obtained in the most simple and complete way: Progea has provided Movicon with a recently enhanced Template object called the ‘On-Call Duty Manager.’
This object can be found in the Movicon symbol library utility and manages the user interface that alerts alarms in runtime to recipient users according to their designated shift or scheduled on-call rotation. Predefined users or user groups can be scheduled throughout the day in three shifts in weekly plans. This object uses the Movicon Alarm Dispatcher to send notifications to recipient users according to their assigned shift and/or group. Notifications can be sent by SMS, e-mail or text-to-speech directly to user’s telephone device. This template object is available to Movicon clients for free.
