July 9, 2009 - PSI Technics developed the Positioning Solution System (PSS), which offers numerous advantages over existing Trimble (Spectra Precision and Geotronics) TCS4000/ICS500 and ASC installations and other market solutions. Based upon a highly sophisticated self-learning control algorithm, the PSS includes an intuitive web interface, a diagnostic analyzer and added memory for troubleshooting. The PSS also reads the .i5k file from the ICS5000 and is able to handle beam breaks. No programming skills are required, making maintenance easy for plant personnel.
The PSS is compatible with all commonly used PLCs and drives.The PSS is a fast, easy-to-use and affordable replacement for existing Trimble TCS4000, ICS5000 and ASC systems. It is compatible with existing devices, and there is no need for replacing existing controllers. It even works with existing communication protocols, I/O signals and analog set point values for motor drives. No complex process control modifications or modifications to connected system components are necessary.
- PSS travel profiles do not include creeping speed, they only generate linear speed and acceleration ramps, irrespective of the load, significantly reducing storage and retrieval times.
