October 27, 2009 - QSI introduces a family of handheld graphic HMI terminals. The product line includes three rugged terminals with different levels of functionality and cost; the low-cost handheld or panel-mount QTERM-G55 with a grayscale display; the new tethered handheld QTERM-G56 featuring touch screen capabilities and the full-featured battery-powered QTERM-G58 with optional WiFi.Windows Embedded CE 6.0 is offered on both the QTERM-G58 and the new QTERM-G56. QSI customers can use Microsoft Visual Studio and related technologies like Win32, MFC, Visual C# and Visual Basic for application development.
QSI’s proprietary language, Qlarity, is still available but not required to make an application for the terminal.Both the QTERM-G58 and QTERM-G56 have been upgraded to include a touch screen as a standard feature. The touch screen allows more flexibility for both the developer and user. The graphic display has also been upgraded to improve terminal operation in direct sunlight.
