The large panel PCs and remote operating stations feature full HD resolution with 1920 x 1080 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio.

June 9, 2010 - R. STAHL HMI Systems released industrial strength, explosion-proof operating and monitoring systems with 24-inch widescreen displays. The large panel PCs and remote operating stations feature full HD resolution; i.e. 1920 x 1080 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Open HMIs and Remote HMIs are suitable either for installation as stand-alone systems or for integration into other equipment in zones 1/21 and 2/22. The systems have gas and dust explosion protection according to ATEX classification II 2 (2)G Ex de mb ib [ib] [opis] IIC T4 and II 2 D Ex tD A21 IP65 T90°C. The wide displays are particularly useful for sophisticated visualisation tasks. On the one hand, complex processes can be displayed in much greater detail and laid out more clearly on large displays. Furthermore, the high screen resolution can be used to keep maintenance parameters, order management data and even surveillance camera images in constant view in addition to process control visualization.

Handling various different operating and monitoring tasks is much easier with a 24-inch widescreen HMI, because the wider format provides more space for parallel views, whereas the systems used so far required the user to switch between images. The touch-screens supplied as standard for all HMIs with the new display size make comprehensive operation easy. If required, optional accessories such as separate keyboards, pointing devices, and special input devices such as Mifare and barcode readers are also available.
