ProSoft Technology’s RadioLinx modems are field-proven, industrial grade, and approved for hazardous environments. ProSoft’s Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum radios in Ethernet, serial, and Ethernet with serial server are ideal for applications requiring additional security. Our Industrial Hotspot radios which can support high-speed applications including VO/IP, video over Ethernet, or Security cameras, and which can be tapped into by PDAs and laptops.

ProSoft’s Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum radios in Ethernet, serial, and Ethernet with serial server are ideal for applications requiring additional security. Our Industrial Hotspot radios which can support high-speed applications including VO/IP, video over Ethernet, or Security cameras, and which can be tapped into by PDAs and laptops.

We also offer industrial wireless PC cards with internal or external antennas for fixed or mobile devices with 10/100 Base-T Ethernet connections, which offer anywhere between 4 to 8 times the transmit power of commercial grade wireless cards and act as a high-powered client radio for the "industrial hotspot" and other wireless access devices. All RadioLinx products are secure, reliable solutions that provide an alternative to hardwiring, and thus to costs associated with set-up, maintenance, leased-line and wireless service fees. Application scenarios are virtually unlimited, but include:

  • SCADA and RTU applications: In Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems it is not uncommon for an application to have numerous Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) installed on-site to transmit data back to the Master Stations.
  • Packaging and Manufacturing: RadioLinx products gather information in real-time and can be used to create wireless connections between departments or between plant- and enterprise-level systems.
  • Hazardous Environments / Clean Rooms: RadioLinx modems are extremely reliable, even in poor or harsh conditions.

These RTUs include intake and lift stations for water/wastewater applications or offshore drilling platforms for oil & gas applications.

It naturally follows that wireless access to field devices at these remote stations would be advantageous assuming this information can be transmitted in real-time and consistently.

RadioLinx products are perfect for these applications because they are extremely reliable and greatly reduce downtime.

The RadioLinx Industrial Hotspot can also be used to connect moving equipment including turntables, drums, gantry cranes, stacker/reclaimers, or even automated guided vehicles.

For example, the RadioLinx Frequency Hopping modems are certified for hazardous environments, while the Industrial Hotspots are ideal for areas with high levels of interference common in industrial applications or in clean rooms, where large amounts of heavy equipment are in constant operation.

RadioLinx FH Ethernet with Serial Server The RadioLinx Frequency Hopping Ethernet with Serial Device Server contains an embedded serial device server that enables a transparent connection between an Ethernet host and a serial only device connected to the RLX-FHES RS-232 serial port.

RadioLinx FH Ethernet The RadioLinx Frequency Hopping Ethernet radio is designed to operate in high-interference environments by combining advanced frequency hopping and digital signal processing technology with outstanding receiver sensitivity and antenna diversity.

RadioLinx FH Serial The RadioLinx Frequency Hopping Serial radio allows you to design multiple device networks to share the same RF network (channel) allowing different protocols to share a common repeater.

RadioLinx Industrial Hotspot The RadioLinx Industrial Hotspot is four times more powerful than high-speed commercial grade radios and allows better coverage of the factory floor with fewer radios and provides outdoor links of up to 20+ miles.
