Rexroth appoints Amy Defayette to Product Marketing

Amy R. Defayette will do Product Marketing for the company's VarioFlow conveyor product line.

Buchanan, MI – May 15, 2007 - The Linear Motion and Assembly Technologies group of Bosch Rexroth Corporation announced the addition of Amy R. Defayette to Product Marketing for the company’s VarioFlow™ conveyor product line. With a proven track record in product management, marketing and technical market development, Amy brings a goal-driven, creative and team-oriented work ethic to the Bosch Rexroth product marketing department.

Amy will be responsible for competitive analysis, product definition, sales development and support, forecasting and maintaining inventory for the Rexroth modular flexible chain conveyor system.A graduate of Western Michigan University with a B.S. in Industrial Design, Amy most recently worked in a leadership position at a previous company where she was responsible for introducing a new mobile thermal printer product line.

Product management responsibilities were also critical in her other previous positions, in which Amy spearheaded numerous marketing, product launch, and product improvement initiatives.Amy’s preceding work took her to Pennsylvania and California before returning to Michigan, where she worked as technical services manager for a plastic resin material handling equipment manufacturer. While there, she helped promote ground-breaking new products and increased efficiency and productivity in the company’s service group. This contribution lowered overall costs and resulted in higher company and product awareness. Amy brings an extensive knowledge of software implementation and design to Bosch Rexroth.

Past duties include managing all functional aspects of design for company intranet and business applications and responsibility for establishing user interface standards. “We look forward to Amy’s contribution in providing overall strategic management and leadership for the VarioFlow conveyor product line,” says Peter Loveland, director of business development for the Bosch Rexroth Linear Motion and Assembly Technologies group.Bosch Rexroth AG, part of the Bosch Group, achieved sales of approximately $6.2 billion (4.9 billion Euro) in 2006 with over 29,800 employees.
