The GSU series represents a new generation of pneumatic linear drives from Rexroth. Excellent guiding qualities within a small unit make the GSU a versatile standard module in handling technology.
The new slide unit can be used in gantries as an X-axis or as a workpiece pallet in material supply. The rodless construction makes the unit particularly compact and optimizes machine design. With a speed of up to 1.5 m/s (4.9 ft/s), this drive enables short cycle times.
Standard guides ensure high rigidity and precise slide guiding. The name is a good start: GSU stands for Guided Slide Unit.The GSU series is available in two diameters: 16 mm and 25 mm. The end stops can be finely adjusted, a feature which allows for multiple positions with a single unit and simplifies construction. Diverse connection options allow for extremely flexible installation.
Air connections may be used on either the sides or the front. In order to optimize construction space, all air connections and sensors can be placed on one side.The drive comes standard-equipped with an elastic shock absorber. It is also available with hydraulic cushioning for applications in which large loads must be stopped or extremely accurate end positions are important. As a part of the Easy-2-Combine automation system, the unit can be directly mounted with other components.
