February 12, 2020 - Allen-Bradley 855X Hazardous Location Signaling Devices are designed to help industrial operators meet the latest global hazardous-location ratings and certifications. The signaling devices include horns, beacons and combination horn-and-beacon units.
In most cases, these 855X devices (Series B) are drop-in replacements for the original 855X devices (Series A). However, the redesigned portfolio also offers additional features:
- Triple certification in a single unit:The 855X products are all cULus, ATEX/IEC EX and Class/Zone certified, so they can be applied globally.
- Customizable to application needs:The 855X products feature two conduit entry options for flexibility in power connections to suit the application requirements.
The beacon’s color can be changed in the field by replacing the beacon lens with the desired color, without affecting the device’s ingress protection rating.
The 855X stand-alone multifunction LED beacon and combination radial sounder/LED beacon feature corrosion-free construction. They also have ingress protection certified to UL Type 4/4X/13, IP66/67, making them suitable for wet and harsh industrial environments in the oil and gas, food, paper, mining and wastewater-treatment industries.
