September 2, 2016 — At this year’s International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS), Rockwell Automation will showcase smart manufacturing capabilities with dynamic displays featuring solutions for powertrain applications, intelligent conveying systems, remote monitoring and analytics.

Located at Booth E-4357 in the Industrial Automation North America pavilion, Rockwell Automation will feature a pre-engineered, automation solution for powertrain applications using FANUC CNCs and robots integrated with its cell controllers over an EtherNet/IP network. Based on the Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture system, this solution allows manufacturers to control and collect data from a wide variety of devices over a single network. The automation solution can transfer the data to enterprise IT systems, enabling better decision-making and cost savings.

Rockwell Automation will also showcase its newly acquired line of MagneMotion intelligent conveying systems, which are used across a broad range of industrial applications, including automotive, general assembly and material handling. The independent cart technology has a scalable, distributed architecture that can help transport numerous vehicles, moving parts or finished goods simultaneously across the plant floor or between machines.

In addition, manufacturers and machine builders can learn about secure remote-monitoring services that allow users to view equipment performance and collect valuable analytics. The flexible, scalable solution collects, organizes and normalizes real-time data across production assets, providing data-driven insights across a broad range of devices.
