Secomea announces GateManager 5 M2M backend server

GateManager 5 is available as both a cloud based service and a stand-alone server.

June 18, 2012 - Secomea announces GateManager 5 backend server for secure and remote access to industrial equipment. The solution consists of a control unit at the factory (SiteManager) and a Windows based communication client (LinkManager) on the engineers’ laptop. These two components are tied together via a M2M communication server (GateManager 5) that is available as both a cloud based service and a stand-alone server.

GateManager 5 is administered via a normal Web browser and is based on intuitive drag-and-drop principles. This means that even very fine grained control of user access to specific equipment, is easily performed via the administration menu without any IT knowledge. But most importantly the security is still uncompromised due to use of two factor authentication and AES encryption. When ordering the Secomea starter package at roughly EUR 700, an administrator account for the Secomea cloud based GateManager 5 server is included, together with a SiteManager appliance and a multiuser floating license for the LinkManager client.
