An all-new series of low cost, user friendly, compact, servo drive has features that let brushed DC servos out perform higher priced brushless servos. The MB2 AC Series of Servo Drives has been designed by Servo Dynamics to give high performance at lower cost. Three models (8, 16 and 24 amp continuous) are easily configured for low or high inductance servomotors. The 8 and 16 amp drive is designed to operate from 40 VAC to 220 VAC and the 24-amp drive is 40 – 120 VAC. For greater throughput the 8 and 16 amp drives have switch selectable peak current of 2 or 3 times continuous current.
For use with smaller servomotors, the 8-amp model is switch selectable to 4-amp continuous maximum rating with no loss of resolution.MB2 AC drives incorporate the latest in digital and analog circuitry for performance and reliability. The MB2 AC drive can operate in current, velocity or position mode. Velocity mode is tachometer, encoder or sensorless feedback. The position mode accepts pulse and direction or pulse-up or pulse-down command input.
The MB2 is equipped with LED’s for status and diagnostics. Other features include: a fully isolated power stage and I/O's that are TTL/CMOS or Opto-Isolated. Also, if an Over-RMS condition is reached, this drive can be set up to either shut-down or roll-back to the RMS current setting and continue operating. The MB2 AC Servo Drive is UL and CE compliant.Servo Dynamics located in Chatsworth, California designs and manufactures high performance servo control systems and is committed to total customer satisfaction.
