June 10, 2026 — Siemens announced its recognition as a Leader in the current Gartner Magic Quadrant for PLM Software in Discrete Manufacturing Industries1. Gartner, a firm that delivers actionable, objective insight to executives and their teams, describes Leaders as those who “execute well against their current vision and are well positioned for tomorrow.”
“Siemens' recognition as a Leader in the PLM industry, we believe, underscores our proven ability to help customers navigate this new industrial AI revolution that’s speeding up the pace of innovation throughout the lifecycle,” said Frances Evans, senior vice president, Lifecycle Collaboration Software, Siemens Digital Industries Software. “As AI reshapes how products are designed, built and operated, we remain focused on delivering PLM solutions that scale securely and connect data, people and processes end to end.”
Siemens’ Teamcenter software delivers AI built for PLM. With AI embedded directly into Teamcenter, customers gain seamless access to advanced AI capabilities, fully integrated with their secure and connected digital thread backbone. Customers can use the Teamcenter Copilot for Generative AI-powered assistance, with increasing expertise introduced in each new Teamcenter product release.
In addition to AI, other key areas of investment that, Siemens believes, contributed to the Gartner recognition as a Leader are bill of material (BOM) enhancements to connect the digital thread, and the success of Teamcenter X software, Siemens’ cloud SaaS delivery option that makes Teamcenter accessible for companies of all sizes and complexity.
This new research follows the Gartner recognition of Siemens as the current “Company to Beat in Manufacturing AI2," as of April 2026.
