Sept. 9, 2026 — Siemens has entered a partnership with the German B2B platform Sparepartsnow to make refurbished Siemens automation products more easily accessible to industrial customers. Through Sparepartsnow's digital marketplace, customers can now purchase manufacturer-refurbished Siemens products.

The new approach refurbished by Siemens combines Siemens' expertise as the original equipment manufacturer in refurbishing its automation products with Sparepartsnow's digital platform, providing customers with a reliable source for Siemens refurbished drives, controllers and HMI panels. By extending product lifecycles and keeping valuable equipment in use for longer, the partnership supports customers' operational continuity while contributing to a more circular economy. Customers benefit from high-quality refurbished products that meet the original manufacturer's technical specifications and performance characteristics.

"This partnership with Sparepartsnow reinforces our commitment to providing customers with circular lifecycle solutions without compromising on quality or performance," said Stefan Jäger, head of Circular Product Services at Siemens. “Customers can confidently choose Siemens’ refurbished products, knowing they meet the original manufacturer’s high-quality standards. Every product undergoes a rigorous refurbishment process and comprehensive testing to ensure it meets its original technical specifications, performance characteristics, and applicable industry and safety standards."

"This partnership with Siemens transforms circularity into a scalable solution, bringing value to our industrial customers," Dr. Christian Hoffart, CEO of Sparepartsnow, added. "As these products were refurbished by their original manufacturer, we and our customers can trust in Siemens’ quality and reliability."

The approach refurbished by Siemens consists of previously used Siemens automation products that have been professionally restored by Siemens to the same technical specifications and performance characteristics as when they were originally placed on the market. Every device undergoes a standardized refurbishment process that includes technical repair, required hardware and software updates, visual restoration where necessary, and comprehensive quality testing in accordance with Siemens production standards and manufacturer specifications.

Siemens refurbished products are not functionally modified or performance enhanced. They retain their original technical specification and product characteristics while meeting the applicable safety, conformity and cybersecurity requirements in place at the time of their original placement on the market. A refurbished product is only released for sale once the product has successfully passed all Siemens functional and quality tests standards.

The partnership reflects the shared commitment of Siemens and Sparepartsnow to advancing circularity in industry by extending product lifecycles, improving equipment availability, and helping reduce waste and conserve resources.

The approach refurbished by Siemens will initially be available in Europe for a defined portfolio of automation products such as drives, controllers and HMI panels, with plans to continuously expand both the product range and regional availability.
