Sept. 1, 2026 — Around 1,500 young people are set to start their vocational training or dual-study programs at Siemens this year. At 18 training centers throughout Germany, the company will prepare these aspiring professionals for tomorrow’s working world. In addition, Siemens is providing more than 300 training positions for partner companies as part of its collaborative training program. The company’s approach sets new standards in professional training: Artificial intelligence (AI) is now an integral part of all training and learning processes. Alongside cutting-edge technologies such as smart manufacturing, digital twins and humanoid robotics, the training also focuses on fostering foundational skills such as critical thinking, adaptability and collaboration.
“Artificial intelligence is changing the requirements that tomorrow’s skilled talents will have to meet. That’s why our training programs are specifically designed to teach our young talents foundational skills such as the ability to learn and adapt, collaboration and critical thinking. The latter is particularly important for using AI tools strategically and responsibly, knowing how they work and assessing them. High-quality professional training strengthens people’s individual skill sets and lays the foundation for greater innovation, competitiveness and sustainable growth,” explained Judith Wiese, Chief People and Sustainability Officer, Managing Board member and Labor Director at Siemens AG.
Siemens offers more than 90 different training programs in Germany and invested around €135 million in professional training during fiscal 2025. Altogether, around 4,000 apprentices and dual students are now taking part in work-study programs at Siemens in Germany.
AI as an integral part of training and re- and upskilling
At Siemens, AI is not taught as an isolated subject but is consistently integrated into the existing learning content across all types of career training. The goal is for AI skills to become a natural part of young people’s professional profiles. Specialist knowledge remains the foundation, with AI serving as a tool that opens up new possibilities for problem-solving, analysis and innovation. Through modular, competency-based curricula and flexible learning modules, Siemens can continuously adapt its training content to meet the evolving needs of its businesses and the job market.

Learning platform supports personalized learning and teaches critical usage of AI
One of the key components is the AI-powered learning platform “simpleclub,” which helps apprentices and dual students learn independently and prepare for and review learning content. The platform also incorporates generative AI. apprentices and dual students learn to use these tools responsibly and evaluate them critically.
SIEYA[at]School: Didactic AI assistant enables flexible career orientation
Through the Germany-wide SIEYA[at]School initiative, Siemens Professional Education is bringing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education, as well as career orientation, directly into classroom lessons. Teachers receive free, curriculum-aligned and practice-oriented teaching materials on future topics such as low-code development, 3D printing and digital twins.
A new addition is the AI Didactic Assistant: This AI-powered tool makes it possible to flexibly adapt the materials to individual subjects, grade levels, federal states and teaching situations. School students thus benefit from real-world, up-to-date career guidance.
Through this initiative, Siemens supports young people as they transition from school to the working world, strengthens future-oriented skills and helps secure a skilled workforce. Digital and gamified formats within the SIEYA ecosystem guide young people from their initial career orientation through to their entry into the workforce.
