May 31, 2011 - Siemon introduces VersaPOD 600mm Server Cabinet. The 600mm-wide cabinet provides a quickly assembled, stable platform for data center and telecommunications room applications. The 600mm cabinet shares a common appearance with the full-featured VersaPOD, allowing it to be deployed in conjunction with the full version to support standard cabinet applications while maintaining consistent aesthetics. Like the full-size VersaPOD, the 600mm version features contoured, highly perforated doors that deliver 71% airflow for efficient thermal management. An open floor design and multiple roof entry points allow flexible routing of horizontal and backbone cable.
Each VersaPOD 600mm unit includes provisions for vertical exhaust ducts; roof mounted cooling fans and additional accessories to promote hot aisle/cold aisle isolation, such as brush guards and grommets for cable access points. Available in both 1000mm (40 inch) and 1200mm (48 Inch) depths to support deeper networking, server and SAN equipment, Siemon’s 600mm VersaPOD features 45U of highly configurable horizontal rack mount spaces. Its standard 19 inch (480mm) mounting rails are depth adjustable in 5mm (0.2 inch) increments to easily accommodate a wide range of equipment types.
Each CEA-310-E, IEC-60297-2, UL 60950 and RoHS-compliant cabinet is constructed using a welded cold-rolled steel frame with an industrial five stage iron - phosphate pre-treatment with textured black powder coat finish, tested to 500 hours salt spray under ASTM-D610-01 and ASTM B117.
