Stockholm, Sweden, February 2006. Imsys Technologies is today pleased to announce the formation of its advisory board. Microprocessor veterans Rich Belgard, Gary Hoffman, Dr Nick Tredennick and Jim Turley have all accepted the role as advisors to the company. Each of them has a long and outstanding experience in the semiconductor industry, all the way from processor designs to marketing and sales. “I’m pleased to have this talented group of individuals on board as advisors to our company and the management team as speaking partners”, says Ola Andersson, President and CEO.

“Together with inputs from our international sales channels the advisors are expected to provide valuable input to the future roadmap of the company”, he adds. “Imsys offers a unique architecture and is run-time configurable or adaptable to different tasks. This is of special value in demanding applications found in communication, cryptography, imaging and compression/decompression to name a few. The use of microcode can boost the speed of a certain function to be orders of mangnitude faster. Its instruction set is optimised and programs take less space reducing the memory needs.

Its design is much more power efficient than RISC-processors and offers more efficient work per Watt-second”, concludes the advisory board in a round table gathering.
