These exciting new transformer products combine IP20 touch proof terminations, copper windings and encapsulation in a design built to match international voltage combinations. Called ICE, this new transformer line allows a designer to tailor a customer’s voltage requirements with one unit that provides a wide range of input voltages. This versatile transformer can reduce inventory because one part does more.One ICE control transformer can be used in the USA, China, Europe and Canada, while competitors require multiple parts on the shelf to meet all those voltage needs.
The transformer handles 50/60 Hz operations with output voltages of 24, 120, and 240 volts. With its flexibility to meet various voltage requirements, ICE is the perfect choice for OEM export equipment.In addition, ICE also features solid epoxy encapsulation to permit more efficient heat dissipation for ‘cooler’ operation. Ranging from 750 to 5000 VA with an 80° C temperature rise, ICE utilizes a standardized primary coil for multiple worldwide voltage combinations. This means that larger VA sizes, such as 3000 and 5000 VA are now encapsulated.
A 130° C insulation epoxy system is used to prevent airborne contaminants from getting into the transformer windings and electrical grade steel, thus improving reliability.
