May 11, 2016 ‚îÄ Spectroline’s SafetyBlu (SB-450) Blue Light Inspection Kit is a hydraulic system maintenance tool designed help find expensive hydraulic system leaks, as well as help detect and prevent injection injuries.
Featuring a portable, high-intensity blue light (450 nm) LED flashlight, when used in conjunction with the company’s FluidSafe fluorescent additive, the SB-450 kit can pinpoint small fluid leaks in hydraulic system hoses, fittings, seals and other components. This allows tiny leaks to be repaired before they lead to big, catastrophic failures.
When added to the reservoirs of hydraulic machinery, FluidSafe aids in the detection and surgical removal of hydraulic fluid in the event of an accidental fluid injection that penetrates the skin. That’s because when viewed under the SafetyBlu lamp’s high-intensity blue light, the additive’s bright green fluorescent glow pinpoints the injection track quickly and accurately. This makes it easy for medical personnel to confirm whether a penetration actually occurred, and if so, to precisely determine the extent of the injury.
The lamp features a rugged, anodized aluminum body, which stands up to years of heavy use. Powered by a rechargeable NiMH battery, it provides 90 minutes of continuous inspection between charges.
In addition to the SafetyBlu flashlight, the SB-450 kit comes complete with smart AC and DC chargers, yellow fluorescence-enhancing glasses, a protective rubber bumper and a belt holster. All components are packed in a padded carrying case.
