Tapeswitch announces PSSR-2 safety controller for end of line resistor switch products
The PSSR-2 is for use with two wire pressure sensitive safety products, such as safety mats, sensing edges, ribbon switches, or bumpers with end of line resistor.

Tapeswitch Corproation offers the PSSR-2 safety controller for use with two wire pressure sensitive safety products that incorporate an integral 6.8K Ω end of line resistor.

The PSSR-2 meets the requirements of EN13849-1:2006 and is at a CAT 3 SIL2 PLd performance level. It is an extremely compact unit which has a 22.5 mm DIN rail enclosure, making it ideal for mounting in control panels. It has a manual or auto reset function and operates from 24 V dc. It has a response time of 13ms.

It is a safety relay with force guided relays and 2 normally open (safety) 1 x normally closed (monitor) contacts. The PSSR-2 control unit is designed to be used in conjunction with Tapeswitch pressure sensitive sensors to form a complete safety system. Sensors may take the form of safety mats, sensing edges, ribbon switches, or bumpers, but must incorporate an integral 6.8KΩ end of line resistor.
