Jamie Jordan, marketing executive with Greenville,SC-based Tegron-Southeast, has been recognized by the CONTROL AND INFORMATION SYSTEM INTEGRATORS ASSOCIATION (CSIA) as winner of its 2005 “Remember Me” Memorial Award.The award memorializes Charles Bergman, considered the driving force behind the establishment more than a decade ago of CSIA, today the largest organization in North America for control and information system integrators.Jordan, senior regional business development manager of Tegron-Southeast, accepted the award at the 12th Annual CSIA Executive Conference, held in Memphis, TN.
He was a founding member and president of Applied Industrial Automation prior to joining Tegron as a result of a 2003 acquisition by Texas-based Tegron, LP.In words prior to presentation of the prestigious award, Bob Zeigenfuse, a founder member and former chairman of CSIA, singled out Jordan, calling him a true “unsung hero” for his unheralded efforts in developing and expanding the association’s BEST PRACTICES & BENCHMARKS, a process that today provides performance standards in seven critical business areas against which CSIA members are audited and measured for qualification for its widely respected REGISTERED MEMBER program.
“It is ironic, but not surprising to anyone who has worked with Jamie,” Zeigenfuse remarked, “that the task he carried out quietly, quickly, and almost anonymously, has helped to shine a very bright light on CSIA and make it a widely known and respected organization.
