June 15, 2026 — Valmet is to deliver a Valmet DNAe Distributed Control System (DCS) to Padasjoen Energia’s heating plant located in the Taulu area in Padasjoki, Finland. The new system modernizes the existing Valmet automation system with state-of-the-art DNAe technology, providing an even more reliable and secure automation solution. The mission-critical automation system also enables the company to operate as an independent district heating producer.
“We chose Valmet because we have been very satisfied with the performance and reliability of our current Valmet automation system, and our experience of using it has been excellent. In addition, there was no need to replace the entire system, but only to upgrade the necessary parts. System users also avoid having to learn a completely new system, which is a major advantage, while we still benefit from a modern, state-of-the-art Valmet DNAe automation system for our plant,” said Pekka Salonen, acting CEO of Padasjoen Energia.

Valmet is to deliver a Valmet DNAe Distributed Control System (DCS) to Padasjoen Energia’s heating plant located in the Taulu area in Padasjoki, Finland. The order is included in Valmet’s orders received of the second quarter 2026. The value of the order will not be disclosed. The delivery will be taken over by the customer during the fourth quarter of 2026.
Technical information about the delivery The delivery includes the Valmet DNAe Distributed Control System (DCS) for monitoring and controlling the heating plant. The system will replace the company’s existing Valmet Distributed Control System.
