These computers are engineered for high-performance control and seamless connectivity thanks to an upgraded processor along with an increased device memory. This provides a boost to computing as well as communications capabilities, enabling them to perform the most complex tasks and exchange data simultaneously. Available in customized versions using an online configurator, the 2nd Generation Edge Computers, like their predecessor, are still Linux-based and provide built-in security including role-based permissions and file encryption.
WAGO is also increasing the communications options on these computers (Ethernet, Serial or CAN) through an integrated expansion housing and online configurator. Even more flexible and capable of delivering increased plant floor performance, WAGO’s 2nd Generation of Edge Computers has the capacity to store large amounts of information and the ability to align to industrial hardware specifications. They are perfect for users who want an industrial grade computer running their applications such as Node-RED, Grafana, AI, digital twins and more.
