OPC Servers and other connectivity solutions are critical to implementing digital solutions such as SCADA, MES, or Industrial IoT within industrial environments. Many of these solutions require local access for configuration, requiring administrators to provide otherwise unnecessary access to machines on the operations network for controls or SCADA engineers, as well as repetitive, manual configuration steps. Configuration APIs enable both remote and bulk configuration, and can be used to implement a ‘least privilege’ permissions set. Advanced users can create custom configuration clients.Join Kepware and JPI as they introduce the KEPServerEX Configuration API and discuss two advanced use cases that allowed JPI to quickly implement critical connectivity for their customer’s operations.
