Most asset owners are hunting for the next rogue device, reacting to the last cyber audit, and continually surprised how another brand-new device was deployed insecurely. In this webinar, we will be sharing lessons learned on how to get out of the ICS/OT cybersecurity rat race and get ahead of the problem!
We will begin by sharing many of the common problems that you may be facing (e.g., asset inventory out of date, shadow infrastructure, struggling to justify cybersecurity). The root causes to many of these challenges are the management of change processes within an organization, and the procurement processes used to acquire new systems. These are leading indicators predicting why documentation is always out of date, insecure devices are deployed, and the organization struggles to justify cybersecurity.
You will walk-away with strategies and recommendations on how to get ahead of these issues and the first, of many steps, to put into your ICS/OT cybersecurity roadmap.
Presenter: Donovan Tindill
Donovan Tindill is a control systems cybersecurity subject matter expert as part of the Honeywell Industrial Cybersecurity Marketing team. He spent over 17 years customer-facing as a control systems cybersecurity consultant in Canada, training/mentoring the technical team, leading major projects, and driving Consulting Services innovation. Donovan’s personal mission is to “move the needle” globally for industrial cybersecurity by volunteering to teach, contribute to standards, support conferences, and Thought Leader. He was a former ISA-99/62443 trainer, working group co-chair, and contributor. He is an Advisor to both the United States and Canadian government control systems cybersecurity conferences (i.e., US DHS ICSJWG Vice-Chair and Public Safety Canada ICS Symposium Vendor Seat) helping select speakers, drive awareness, and knowledge in North America.
