Part production quality creates a wide variety of in-process inspection requirements that demand immediate feedback on part quality. To escape inspection department delays, to insure timely information feedback and put production in control of quality it makes sense to keep in-process production part inspection at or near the production process. SMART Gage is constructed like a machine tool incorporating machine tool linear guide technologies and leverages Wenzel's linear guide knowledge gained from years of application experience with. RS+, RSD+, RA+ and RAD+ series coordinate measuring machines.SMART Gage is designed specifically for the rigors shop floor environment and is exceptionally resistant to debris, coolant and chips with out loss of accuracy. Additionally, SMART Gage thermal behavior has greatly simplified temperature compensation models and insures accurate measurement in the toughest shop floor environment.SMART Gage small foot print and no-access door swing requirements achieve quick and easy installation in small areas and will easily locate close to the manufacturing process.
The standard SMART Base provides easy installation for stand-a-lone operation on the floor, in the lab or inspection department. Tailored base fabrications provided limitless In-Line / Off-Line single or multi head configurations with or without automation. Adjustable "Z" clearance eliminates traditionally lost "Z" travel due to probing, probing extension or fixturing and eliminates over buying machine size for your application.Unlike doghouse gages, SMART is quickly and easily re-programmed for cost effective re-deployment anywhere on the shop floor.
