August 15, 2013 - The largest pharmaceutical company in Southeast Asia, PT Kalbe Farma Tbk., has successfully started up PAS-X at its headquarters in Jakarta, Indonesia. Kalbe modernized its IT and MES infrastructures and chose Werum's PAS-X to fully integrate with the Oracle EBS system. "Kalbe decided to implement the PAS-X Manufacturing IT Business Platform primarily due to the functional completeness of the PAS-X package and of Werum's extensive experience in the design and implementation of MES solutions in the pharmaceutical industry," says Ciendramawan, Deputy Director Corporate Information Technology & Systems of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk.
"With a very large number of well-known pharmaceutical groups using PAS-X in more than 30 countries and in over 600 installations worldwide, we are convinced that we are on the right track in our system's implementation." For the production of its approximately 1,000 SKU medical products - including the top-selling stomach medication Promag - Kalbe uses the PAS-X WEIGHING & DISPENSING system on 50 computer clients. The PAS-X interface to the ERP system enables smooth processing of the weighing orders. The project was carried out locally by the Werum Asia Pacific Support Centre in Thailand.
